City Lights
View of Melbourne at night
Now I can put weight on my leg in the moonboot, I no longer have to carefully plan my trips around the house to optimize use of my leg. I can take a frivolous trip, say just to fill up my water bottle, or to pick up a sock on the floor. I can just stand up and stretch, arms high, with weight on my injured leg. The plastic bags used to carry dinner in a bowl are gone, as is the small juice bottle, refilled with wine. i sip my wine out of a wine glass again, and my sandwich is on a plate not in a bowl. I swept the floor today, which prior to my accident was an unwelcome chore, now a small joy. Actually, just getting off the couch and going for a walk with no purpose at all is a thrill!
This is still a work in progress. Abstract Eucalyptus trees - view out my studio window. Acrylic on board.

Sitting enjoying some marlborough sauvignon blanc and Arnotts shapes sensations - lime & Chili. What a great combination! Ordered them online from Coles and had them delivered right to my refrigerator! Watching Graham Norton interviewing Jon Hamm, Charlize Theron and Steve Coogan. Very funny!

As I start to use my leg more, it hurts! All the muscles from my hip down are aching as well. Now after walking around in my moonboot, I have to rest my leg and put ice on it. Back on painkillers to sleep. What a slow process!
